Who should sit uniTEST?

uniTEST is designed for students who have recently completed their secondary education and wish to apply to an undergraduate degree at one of the participating universities.

Am I eligible to sit uniTEST?

If you are completing secondary school this year or have completed secondary school you are eligible to sit uniTEST. Please check your eligibility with the university you are applying to.

Before the test

There are 3 sections:

  • Quantitative and Formal Reasoning will assess skills in the domains of mathematics and science.
  • Verbal and Plausible Reasoning will assess reasoning in the domians of arts, humanities and social sciences.
  • Critical Reasoning will assess general reasoning across both of the broad domains.

Firstly, you will need to check that the university you wish to apply will accept uniTEST scores. If the university will accept uniTEST scores for the course you wish to apply to, you will need to contact the university to register by the registration deadline.

You have 150 minutes to complete uniTEST, plus 10 minutes reading time.

On the test

You must take one form of photo bearing identification and your admission ticket from the university.

You may bring a bottle of water into the test centre, but all other items are prohibited.

You must also take any other documents/items as directed by the university.

After the test

You will receive a scale score out of 100 for each of the 3 sections in the test and a total scale score.
